Dear Family and friends,

As many of you know, the fires in Southern California have had a devastating impact. Among those affected is my mother, a long-time resident of Altadena and a vital part of the Altadena/Pasadena community for many years.

My mom is a dedicated educator who has taught countless students throughout her career. Beyond her professional achievements, she has been a mentor, community leader, and source of strength for so many. She is a mother, grandmother, and a surrogate mother to countless others in need as well as a friend.

Tragically, my mom lost her home and all her belongings in the fire, including irreplaceable collections, keepsakes artifacts, and cherished photos. While we are incredibly grateful she escaped unharmed, she now faces the immense challenge of recovering from unexpected costs. The funds received will be used to cover out of pocket expenses that insurance will not cover.
