In the coming weeks, an important step is taking place in my son Myles’ custody case. The court has appointed a Guardian ad Litem (GAL)—an independent attorney whose role is to focus entirely on Myles’ best interests. The GAL will take time to understand Myles’ daily life, speak with people involved in his care, and provide the court with a thoughtful recommendation centered on his well-being.

To begin this process, the court has ordered a deposit due by May 20, 2026. This step matters deeply. It ensures that Myles’ voice, experiences, and needs are seen and understood in a meaningful way. I am committed to providing stability and care for my children, and I am doing everything I can to meet my responsibilities. This additional, time-sensitive cost is simply more than I can manage on my own right now.
