My daughter, Savannah, and Marcus just got the kind of news no parent ever wants to hear — my grandson Mylan, their little boy, has leukemia. It all happened so fast. Sunday he was playing and laughing, and the next, they were sitting in a hospital room this week in St. Louis trying to process words that didn’t even feel real.

They’ve are staying strong for him, but it’s been so hard — emotionally, physically, and financially. Between travel, time off work, and everything that comes with hospital life, it’s going to be a lot to carry.
