Help Myk Powell Fight Cancer & Care For His Rescued Mustangs

Please help Myk Powell fight Stage 4 cancer and care for his rescued wild Mustangs.

Our dear friend, comedian and former radio personality, Myk Powell - known for his vibrant presence on Hawaii's 93FM Q, Power 92X, and Guam's K-57 and Hit Radio 100 - is facing another significant health battle.

After surviving a massive stroke and enduring multiple surgeries, Myk has been diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. This Stage 4 cancer has now spread throughout his lymph nodes.

Myk starts aggressive immunotherapy on May 28th with a 2-drug infusion protocol for 4 months, then twice monthly single drug infusions for the rest of the year. This requires a long and challenging recovery period, with significant side effects. We are hopeful for a successful outcome, where Myk can return to comedy, caring for his horses and hiking again.

Myk and his wife, Roberta Powell, live on a modest ranch in rural Cool, California, where they care for two beloved rescued wild Mustangs from the Devil's Garden herd - 21-year-old Fairr Wind and 6-year-old Lani Ka'lio. They also care for four rescue kitties.

The physical demands of maintaining the property and caring for their animals are now too much for Myk and Roberta to handle alone. Due to his stroke and other medical complications, Myk cannot return to full-time work. Compounding this difficult financial situation, Roberta's job position in the private aviation industry was eliminated and she was laid off.

We are reaching out to hopefully raise $15,000 to help cover these expenses:

- Travel to and from Kaiser Hospital - a 2+ hours round trip

- Potential medical costs and co-pays for immunotherapy infusions

- Hiring a ranch handyman to help feed and clean the horses

- Purchase a supply of feed for the horses

- Repair well pipe leaks which are draining the water supply

- Repair downed fences

- Repair ranch vehicles

Myk has shown incredible strength and resilience throughout 10 years of serious health challenges - undergoing extensive physical and speech therapy plus 7 surgeries following his stroke. He continued to do his best and contribute wherever and whenever he could.
