Help Mychael de la Torre!

Beloved teacher, friend, and loved one, Mychael de la Torre, was diagnosed with Cancer in September 2021. What a year! Thank you to those who supported Mychael last year and now we are humbly asking for help with the last phase of this journey.

Mychael has shown courage, strength, and perseverance over the last year, while undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy, surgeries, and immunotherapy. Recently, Mychael has had many challenges and her story has taken a turn. This week, Mychael is being admitted to a board and care hospice facility that will see her through. A place where she will be well cared for, loved, and safe for as long as needed. She is no longer able to be alone and needs 24 hour care.

Mychael’s care is expensive and, while we don’t know how long this will be needed, those of us who love her dearly want to ensure that she gets what she needs, for as long as she needs it. We are asking the community to help. We know there are thousands (literally) of people who love her and want to help and this is all she needs at this time.

All of the money donated previously provided Mychael a cushion to survive the past year. Please help make this next chapter as comfortable as possible! All funds will go directly to her account and then to the care facility. Any left over funds will cover her mortgage and other outstanding medical bills that still need to be paid.

Mychael is not able to take visits, calls, texts, or messages at this time but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that she feels everyone’s love. Although this is not the happy news we had hoped for, we are still living by faith and loving Mychael above and beyond.
