Help Myanmar Rebuild After 7.7 Magnitude Earthquakes
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Global Community,
I am Nay, a monastic teacher from Myanmar, and launching this GoFundMe campaign to provide urgent support—water, food, and medical aid—as a priority for those affected by powerful earthquakes.
My heart is heavy as I write this letter. Recently, a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake devastated Myanmar, including my hometown. I can no longer hold back my tears, seeing Myanmar endure ongoing hardships—the military coup since 2021, a severe flood in 2024, and now the most powerful earthquake in 90 years.
We woke up on the same morning in different parts of the world, yet back home, entire cities have crumbled, family dinners are no longer possible, and communities are struggling—grappling not only with the earthquake's destruction but also with airstrikes by the Junta happening on the very same day. People I grew up with—neighbors, friends, and loved ones—have lost everything in an instant.
They need our help. They sincerely need your helping hands.
Every donation, no matter the size, will save lives of children and people in affected area.
I am working closely with trusted community-based partners who are ready to deliver urgent aid. Every donation will go directly toward providing drinking water, food, and medicine to those who need it most. Many have not received any help yet.
Please, if you can, donate and share this message with as many people as possible. Your generosity can bring comfort and relief to those facing unimaginable hardship. Together, we can help Myanmar rise from this tragedy.
Thank you for standing with the Myanmar people.
With Metta,
Nay
