Hi! My name is Myah Excell and I am 13 years old from Brisbane, Queensland.

i was selected for the first ever Youth Pom team for Team Australia! I have the amazing opportunity to compete at International Cheer Union Worlds - which is the Olympics for dance! I am travelling to compete in April 2026.

It is a huge trip and my parents are doing everything they can to support me. It’s an expensive trip and there is no sponsorship for athletes - so I am doing everything I can to raise funds.

What is involved?

I am training every day. I have to video and submit my training to keep accountable.

There are three camps in three months:

We have seven days as a team in person before we fly to Florida to represent Australia!

In April, we fly to Orlando to train for a few days then compete at Disney World.

We will compete against other countries and the competition will be streamed on the Olympic channel.

What is the team?

YUPO - Youth Pom - for Team Australia.

there are 18 of us from all over Australia who were selected.

Why do we need help to fundraise?

The team is self-funded. The costs involved include:

Uniform and training gear

Flights

Accommodation

Athletes fees/tuition

3 x interstate training camps

What will the funds be used for?

I am hoping to help cover the cost of the flight and my athletes fees.

I am so excited and proud to have the opportunity to wear green and gold and represent my country.
