Before you scroll past this, please take a moment to read my story. I’m asking for help not because I don’t want to work for my dreams, but because I need a chance to reach them.
My name is Mya Harris, and I’m a student-athlete with two big goals: playing basketball at the highest level I can and one day becoming a doctor so I can help people.
I’ve always taken school seriously, and I currently have a 4.27 GPA. My dream school is USC, where I hope to continue my education and eventually go to medical school. At the same time, basketball has been a huge part of my life growing up. It has taught me discipline, perseverance, and how to keep pushing even when things get hard.
This summer I have the opportunity to play travel basketball for the EYBL Nike Elite Circuit with a new team, The Lady Soldiers. This is my first year playing with them, and I’m excited for the opportunity to grow and compete at a higher level. Many of the top college coaches in the country attend these events to watch and evaluate players, and being able to compete there could open doors to college opportunities and help me take the next step toward my future.
The only thing standing in the way right now is the cost. Between travel, tournaments, and exposure events, the expenses add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but it’s more than we can afford alone.
That’s why I’m trying to raise $6,000 to help cover my summer travel basketball expenses.
Every donation no matter how small brings me one step closer to this opportunity. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this with others would mean just as much. The more people who see this, the greater the chance my dream can become a reality.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for believing in young athletes chasing their goals. Your support could truly make a difference in my future.
