Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out because my sweet girl l has recently become sick, and our vet believes she may have Cushing’s disease. The test and short hospitalization to confirm the diagnosis cost $482, and if she does have it, her monthly medication will be around $100.

I’ve already paid $350 for bloodwork after noticing something was wrong, and now we’re at a point where further testing is necessary to know what’s really going on. I’m currently in grad school and had to let go of my second job, so this has been emotionally and financially overwhelming.

If untreated, Cushing’s can progress quickly, and I’ve been told we could have as little as six months. But with treatment, she could have another two good years. I don’t know how far along she is, but I know I need to try because I honestly can’t lose her yet.

Despite her symptoms like fatigue, hair loss, and a pot belly, she still perks up for walks and cuddles. Her spirit is still there, and her quality of life still feels strong.
