I never thought I’d be writing something like this, and asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do — but my dog, Mya, needs me, and I can’t do this alone. Mya has been sick, and watching her struggle has been heartbreaking. She’s not just a pet — she’s my comfort, my constant, and the one thing that’s stayed by my side through everything. I’ve been up all night letting her outside, barely sleeping, just trying to keep her comfortable and safe while figuring out what to do next. I’ve been working hard to get back on my feet and stay afloat after a series of unexpected hardships. Resources are tight right now, and this medical emergency came at a time I wasn’t prepared for — but giving up on her has never been an option.

When I contacted the emergency vet, I was told the exam alone would be expensive, with additional costs for testing, treatment, and medications. I’ve been referred to a low-cost clinic and will be calling first thing in the morning, but even reduced services still come with costs I simply don’t have right now.

Every dollar will go directly toward her vet visits, diagnostics, and medications. If anything extra is raised, it will be used for follow-up care to make sure she fully recovers.
