Help Mya Fight MCT Cancer: Support Her Treatment

Hi, my name is Cynthia. My dog's name is Mya and is 11 1/2 years old she is a pitbull and requires non surgical treatment even after getting surgery. I have had Mya since December of 2013 she was 5 weeks old. I was taking care of her for a friend since she was the runt of the litter and ended up bonding with her and kept her. In 2022 of March she needed a life saving surgery for pyometra and costed almost $9,300, a year and a half ago in 2023 she jumped off the bed and landed wrong (she has steps but doesn't always use them) which I had to bring to VEG emergency which required testing since she wouldn't move and found out she wasn't paralyzed just hurt her spine which was almost $1,500 and now I am dealing with this which has been very difficult. I noticed a lump on my dog towards the end of January of 2025. It didn't grow and was small not very noticeable. Around end of February, one night around 2am, she woke me up because she was whimpering and whole body was trembling. I noticed the lump was red looked bruised and the size of a golf ball. I took her to the VEG emergency group and was told it looked like cancer and needed an appointment with her vet. She was given some type of shot to help her and booked an appointment with her vet. When I explained what was going on I was seen within days. The vet got sample of the lumps and thought it was breast cancer since she felt some on her nipple. We did lots of testing, testing on lumps as well, ultrasound, X-rays, and bloodwork. The tests came back as mast cell tumor but in her case it's cancer. Luckily the mast cell tumors have not spread to her lungs, chest or abdominal area. She was a candidate for surgery. On April 15th she got 6 tumors removed. The vet wasn't able to remove all and needs non surgical treatment. We got an appointment with an oncologist but I have spent over $8,000 already and can't do treatment. Her cancer is low grade and stage 2. I don't want to give up on her. Depending on which of the 3 treatments we do it will cost almost $2,000 monthly and that's 1 of the treatments and chemotherapy will cost about $5,000 monthly each session. I don't have that amount to do monthly and asking for help. Any amount will help. She's more than a dog to me. Please help me save my dog from mast cell tumor/cancer.
Ps. She is full of energy regardless of what she has been going through. Before her surgery after we knew that it was mast cell tumor/cancer I have had to bring her to VEG emergency group multiple times since this type of tumor releases uncontrollable chemical/hestimines and has caused her to get many severe allergic reaction. That's what was happening to her the first time I brought her to VEG. Mya was experiencing a severe allergic reaction from the tumor. I have done all I can. But it requires more treatment to shrink and maybe eliminate the cancer.
UPDATE: TUESDAY around 3 am Mya was in pain and having trouble breathing. I had given Mya her pain medications and benadryl and was getting worse. The vet suggested steroids instead of benadryl but I knew it would be a temporary relief. She was struggling and cancer was getting worse. I had to put her down. Mya went from 67.4 pounds in February to almost 35 pounds on Tuesday July 1st. As much as I would have loved her to be with me she was suffering and was not fair for her. Thank you to all that have donated. Mya is no longer suffering and was a fighter until the end ❤️
