Alana Needs Your Help - Urgent Explant Surgery

My wife, Alana, is facing a health crisis that has been building for over three decades - and in the last month, it has become urgent.

Thirty-one years ago, after the births and nursing of her two eldest sons, Alana made the decision to get a breast lift with augmentation. It was a choice countless women made during that era, and like so many of them, she had no idea it would one day become life threatening.

Over the years, she has experienced a growing list of autoimmune symptoms: IBS, chronic fatigue, systemic skin inflammation, lymphatic cysts, physical pain, disrupted sleep, and hormonal imbalances. These are among the most commonly reported symptoms of Breast Implant Illness (BII) - a condition that is only now gaining the medical recognition it deserves.

In just the past month, her symptoms have escalated dramatically. She is now dealing with severe vertigo, extreme fatigue, and worsening inflammation. It has become clear that one of her implants has ruptured and that silicone has migrated into her lymph nodes. The toll on her body has left her unable to work consistently, and the financial pressure is mounting alongside the medical urgency.

After extensive research, we found a surgeon in California who is not only highly qualified in explant procedures but also works for the same center that did her original procedure. We trust him to handle this complex situation and give Alana the best possible chance at recovery.

Breakdown of expenses:

Surgeon and facility fees (includes - Physician, Facility, Anesthesia, basic blood testing & EKG, *see attached quote) = $12,775

Round-trip travel from South Dakota to California (Gas + basic lodging) $1,225

Time out of work: $1000

Total: $15,000

Any funds raised beyond our goal will go directly toward Alana's ongoing recovery, follow-up care, and any unforeseen medical expenses.

Our goal: $15,000.

I am by her side every day, and I can tell you this surgery is not elective. It is critical. We are doing everything in our power to make it happen, but we cannot do it alone.

Any amount you can give makes a real difference. And if you're unable to donate, sharing this page is just as meaningful. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us as we navigate this together.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
