Hello, I'm Jon.

My wife is battling a severe autoimmune disease that is attacking her muscles, skin, and now her organs. Every day is a struggle for her—she cries out in pain just from moving, and even the gentle touch of water during a shower causes her unbearable agony. The disease has progressed so much that her organs are starting to fail, and she needs help with every movement. I have to physically lift her just to help her get to the bathroom or move around the house. Watching someone you love suffer like this is heartbreaking, and it’s hard to put into words how much it hurts to see her in so much pain.

Her condition is so severe that she has to have pacemakers on her organs. Tragically, her body has already rejected four pacemakers, and the doctors are trying every solution they can to keep her alive. We are doing everything we can to get her the care she needs, but the costs are overwhelming. We travel back and forth to Mayo Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, for her treatments, and the expenses for gas, medical bills, and especially the medications she desperately needs are more than we can handle alone. Some of the medications she needs aren’t covered by insurance, and it’s a constant worry to make sure she gets what she needs to fight this disease.
