Hello, my name is Seiyon. I was born and live in a village near the world-famous Angkor Wat temples in Cambodia.
In 2017 I started the Village Homeschool to provide free English classes to 300 underprivileged children from poor rural families
Gaining English language skills is the key to a better future for the children in the villages located around Siem Reap.
Being able to speak even basic English gives young people the opportunity to get jobs in the tourism industry and help support their families.
Around 80% of the students are from very poor families who can’t afford to buy basic school supplies such as notebooks and pens.

We are a registered NGO. We are 100% funded by donations. We do not receive any money from the Government of Cambodia to support our education program.
Our annual costs are:
Salary for our 10 teachers $4,800
Printing and stationery for our 12 classes $300
Electricity bill $750
Repairs and Maintenance $150
TOTAL ANNUAL COSTS $6,000 USD ($10,000 AUD)
Without donations from the global community, we cannot remain open.
