Our beloved family member, John, was involved in a severe motorcycle accident in Finland on his return from his second motorbike tour of Europe.

We flew out to Finland to meet him and had a great family holiday. The day after our return to the UK my father received the shocking news from the hospital (Tampere University Hospital) that Uncle John had been in a serious accident and had suffered a fractured spine, multiple broken ribs , a broken ankle and other injuries. The road to recovery will be long and we need your support to bring him home to the UK and make his recovery as comfortable as possible. He is staying positive despite the possibility he may never regain the ability to to walk again.

The immediate priority is arranging a medical flight back to the UK so he can receive the specialised care he needs. Following his return, we will need to adapt his environment to accommodate his injuries, ensuring it is accessible and equipped for his rehabilitation.
