Hi, my name is Victor Hugo Rubio Rios, and I am starting this fundraiser to help with expenses for my uncle Balo (Balito) Rios road to recovery. About a month or so ago I received a phone call from one of his friends, asking me if I knew anything about my uncle's illness. I didn't know anything at the time. The following day my uncle woke up with a very excruciating pain on his lower back, his spine. He was taken to the nearest town and was given some pain killers to help alleviate his pain, but the pain would not go away, in a matter of a couple of days he was not able to get up whatsoever. Little by little he started getting worst and worst. He was taken on an ambulance to the city's hospital, but even there, he was not showing signs of recovery. His blood sugar spiked, and his blood pressure was really high also, he was having a very difficult time breathing. Being a diabetic did not help at all. The specialist said that my uncle's blood sugar got so high that it killed all sorts of cells and tissue. They continue to monitor his recovery from the complications, and then on to the spine problem as soon as they are able to, which will be a challenge. Hopefully he comes out of this victorious. I hope I hope. As you know out there in Mexico, is not the same as here in the States, where we have health insurance for the most part. Lots of expenses have been incurred, and will continue to be incurred for a while. I am seeking your donations, anything will help, they are greatly appreciated.
