Help for Yulia, her family and her community

Friends,

My friend Yulia is from an eastern town in Ukraine (4 hours from the Russian border). She and her family own a cafe there, Sibs Cafe, which they now utilize as a supply distribution center and a bomb shelter. Her family (mom, dad, brother and sister-in-law, who is a nurse) are working in partnership with their church to feed the people in their town, provide them with essential supplies and offer them a safe place when bombs go off, or fighting ensues.

Yulia currently resides in Washington state with her husband and is doing everything in her power to send supplies and money to her family and community in Ukraine. Russians are attacking the humanitarian corridor to her town, and it has become more difficult for humanitarian aid to be safely delivered.

Yulia has found creative ways to get supplies and food to her town (for example, her husband is flying commercial from Washington to Germany with 40 filled suitcases. He plans to cross the Poland/Ukraine border, meet Yulia's brother, who will drive days each way to get the suitcases and take them back to his town). Paying for the plane ticket and checking 40 suitcases has personally cost Yulia tens of thousands of dollars, but she believes she is in the U.S. for a reason and will do whatever it takes to help her family, community and country.

Yulia has also partnered with the organization Almsgiving Foundation, where 100% of the proceeds goes back to her town. Lastly, every time she receives money via Venmo (Yulia-Clack), she sends it directly to her family for things like gas (in extremely short supply and costs a fortune) to drive and get supplies and food to bring back to their community.
