Help My Ukrainian Family Members

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tyler Bell, and I am starting a fund for my Ukrainian wife and her family. Here is her story:

Hello, my name is Anya, and I am a US citizen born and raised in Ukraine. I am reaching out for help in our community from the recent atrocities in Ukraine. My brother, Andrey Belemenko, and sister-in-law, Dina, endured a week in Kharkiv after the war broke out. After hiding out in the interior of the 7th floor of their apartment building and seeing similar structures destroyed right next to them, they decided to flee their home. Leaving most of their belongings, they left to the west part of Ukraine, finding a friendly citizen who drove them to Lviv. They are struggling to find a cheap place to stay while attempting to get Dina and her mother across the border to Poland. Once across the border to Poland, they will seek asylum in the US to stay with us in Florida.

Their son Bogdan Belemnko (19) is currently in the US, staying with my parents in Florida since November 2021. He is attempting to get into a college in the states under a swimming scholarship but cannot currently afford a student visa to stay. We are actively looking into asylum visas; however, the lawyer fees and visa fees are very high. Most of his friends back in Ukraine were drafted and are currently fighting in the war.

The funding would be for the following essential needs for my Ukrainian family members:

  • Rent in Lviv
  • Food, water, and clothes
  • VISA expenses
  • Plane tickets
  • Support for Bogdan as his parents can no longer work
