Help My Twin Sister Breathe Again and Get Back on Her Feet

In early April, life took an unexpected and terrifying turn for my beautiful twin sister, Sandra (Sandy) Hafemann. A substitute teacher, a mother of two daughters and a proud grandmother to four incredible grandchildren, she suddenly fell seriously ill. What started as feeling "under the weather" to an critical medical emergency. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance where her lungs was being attacked.

She has spent 12 days in the hospital fighting to breathe where the nurses watched over her day and night. The rest of us could only standby and pray. She is now is being moved to a long term rehab facility that will have to teach her to breathe on her own again.

As a substitute teacher she doesn't get paid leave or summer benefits. With medical bills piling up, mortgage payments due, and day-to-day expenses looming she is facing another battle - financial hardship.

My sister is the type of person who shows up for everyone else-her students, her friends and her family.

Now I am asking you to show up for her. If you can help whether it's $1 or more you will be giving her more than money. You will give her the peace of mind to heal without worries.
