My name is Esli, some of you may know me as Zuzu.

I'm reaching out to you to help my family in Dagestan.

I'll explain the situation.

My twin aunties are living with cystic fibrosis, a severe genetic disease that damages the lungs and digestive system. Because of that, they can't work and receive between 150-200 EUR/month each from the government. Shocking, isn't it?

Every single day, they fight to breathe. They spend hours doing 'airway-clearing' therapy, take dozens of medications, and often rely on antibiotics and hospital stays just to keep their lungs working.

Despite all this, they stay strong, kind, and incredibly hopeful.

But hope alone is not enough. Over the past years, me and my family helped them out, but we can't do it alone anymore. Last June my dear uncle and their brother who lived with one of the aunties passed away. Since his death my grandmother has trouble moving on from her son's death and gets sick often because of her broken heart.

They urgently need consistent medical treatment, healthy nutrition, and lifesaving medications that are extremely expensive and often hard to obtain. Without this care, cystic fibrosis progresses quickly, infections become harder to treat and the risk of life-threatening complications rises.
