My partner had to flee the U.S.A. due to its current anti transgender policies and laws. We are in the process of trying to retain a lawyer to assist with the necessary documents that need to be filed for a refugee claim. Taylor is scared to go back to the U.S due to the current administration and fear of what the people would do to her if they found out that she is trans. The state that Taylor lived in before she came to Canada,as the US is no longer safe for transgender people. She has looked into going to other states, but could not find a place she could afford or a living situation. Taylor lost her job shortly after DEI was rolled back and could not find another job after that. The current administration wants to target safe states in retaliation for the "no king's protest". So I am helping Taylor get situated in Canada with me.
