Our family, consisting of my wife Wissam, our two sons Omar and Mohammad, and our three daughters Raghad, Ghina, and Amira, used to live a peaceful life in Gaza. We cherished every moment together, despite the challenges we faced.

Our eldest son, Omar, was born with cerebral hydrocephalus, a condition that required ongoing medical treatment. With unwavering determination and the support of our community, we managed to provide Omar with the care he needed. me and him even traveled to Egypt for specialized treatment, a journey filled with hope and optimism.

But then, tragedy struck. War tore through our once peaceful neighborhood, shattering our lives and dreams. In the chaos, we fled to Rafah, seeking safety amidst the turmoil. Forced to leave behind our home, belongings, and any semblance of stability, we found ourselves displaced, living in tents amidst unimaginable hardship.

As if the horrors of war weren't enough, Omar's condition deteriorated rapidly in the harsh conditions of displacement. Our hearts broke as we watched our son suffer, knowing that time was running out for him. We felt helpless, desperate to find a way to save him.
