Update from Greena 02/08/26
hello every kind soul!
I wanted to share an update on my journey and, above all, express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has stood beside me.
Because of your generosity through my GoFundMe, direct donations, prayers, kind messages, and unwavering support, I was able to receive treatment that I simply could not have afforded on my own. Your kindness has carried me through one of the hardest chapters of my life.
Over the past months, I have completed 26 cycles of chemotherapy. While the journey has been physically and emotionally exhausting, every treatment gave me something priceless—more time with my daughter. Those ordinary moments we shared have become extraordinary gifts, and I will forever be grateful that your support made those moments possible.
Unfortunately, I have now received difficult news. My oncologist has explained that the chemotherapy I have been receiving is no longer controlling my cancer as hoped. Because of this, I have now been prescribed chemotherapy tablets as the next stage of treatment.
These tablets cost more than $4,000 per month, which is far beyond what I can afford.
My doctors have also spoken honestly with me about my prognosis. Based on the information they have shared, without further treatment my life expectancy may be around six months, while with treatment the statistics suggest it may extend to around ten months. I understand these are only estimates, and I continue to hold on to hope for every day I am given.
As frightening as this news is, I am choosing to focus on gratitude.
Thank you to everyone who has walked beside me on this journey. Whether you donated, shared my story, prayed for me, or simply kept me in your thoughts, you have given me strength when I needed it most.
Most importantly, you have given me something money can never truly buy—time. Time to be a mum. Time to make memories. Time to love my daughter a little longer.
If you are able to continue supporting my journey by sharing this page or making a contribution towards this next stage of treatment, I would be deeply grateful. Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, gives me hope.
No idea, what the future holds! And what would be next chapter of this journey but I Thank you for believing in me, for standing beside me, and for reminding me that even in the hardest moments, there is still so much goodness in this world.
Update from Greena - 11/06/2026
First of all thanks to all the generous souls for being with me in this crucial and painful journey. I still need support for the path I still have to tread on!
Update: though started with the plan to get 6 chemo cycles to see how it would go, now 25cycled have already been completed. Now my prognosis is 6-12 months ( I have letter from doctor) ( though only GOD almighty knows how longer…) but whatever time is there, I still need treatment to fight with these cruel cancers and still in need of funds. So far you have been like a strong support for me ( lately we are struggling with the funds) , so it is my request if you can share and spread my Gofundme link or payid number 0429399944, so that I can continue my treatment without getting burdened financial atleast.
I and my daughter are really grateful to all of you.
PS: though insurance policy is covering a lot but still we need 2000-2500$ monthly for out of pocket medical expenses. If I get 20-25 regular donors donating 100$ each monthly , it would become easier to manage.
As always! Relying on you guys’ support only.
Please see if something can be done!
With a heavy heart but unwavering hope, I’m reaching out to ask for your support. My beloved teacher—a woman who has dedicated her life to nurturing, guiding, and uplifting others—has been diagnosed with Stage Four Metastatic Colorectal Adenocarcinoma, an aggressive cancer that has spread to her lungs and abdomen. This devastating news has shaken all who know and love her, but we are holding onto hope and standing by her side in this difficult battle.
While her cancer is not curable, chemotherapy and biologic therapy can help slow its spread and give her more time. Before she can begin treatment, she will need surgery to insert a portacath, a device implanted in her chest under general anesthesia, to facilitate chemotherapy. She is set to receive six rounds of chemotherapy, after which her condition will be reassessed. If possible, options for continuing treatment in India may be considered, but right now, she needs to start chemotherapy as soon as possible.
A Life of Sacrifice and Strength
She is not just a teacher—she is a fighter, a single mother, and a woman who has dedicated 26 years of her life to raising her daughter alone, all while shaping the futures of countless students. She has always given selflessly, never asking for anything in return. Even as she battles cancer, her spirit remains strong, but the financial burden of this fight is overwhelming.
She currently lives in Australia with her daughter due to ongoing health issues. In 2019, she underwent surgery for adenocarcinoma and has lived with a stoma bag since then. In 2024, she had her gallbladder removed. Despite everything, she kept going. But now, this latest diagnosis has changed everything.
Due to her visitor status, she faces extremely high medical costs. Though she has insurance, it does not cover this type of critical illness. Her treatment expenses—including oncologist fees, hospital stays, chemotherapy, medications, and post-surgery care—are immense. To make matters worse, she has no home to return to in India.
Her daughter, who has been her sole caregiver, is doing everything she can, but she cannot bear this financial burden alone.
How You Can Help
I am asking for your kindness, your generosity, and your support. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving her the care she desperately needs.
If you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser with your friends, family, and network. Your words and prayers mean the world to us.
Every contribution will go directly to her daughter’s account to cover her medical bills, treatment, and essential care. We will provide regular updates on her condition and treatment progress.
She Has Given So Much-Now It’s Our Turn to Give Back
She has spent her life lifting others up. Now, she needs our help to keep fighting. Please, if you can, donate today and help us give her a fighting chance.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, love, and prayers.
