I never imagined I would be writing something like this or asking for help this way.
Alexander James is a sweet, strong boy who has handled more than his share of medical challenges. When Mutt Scouts rescued him in 2019, he was suffering from distemper. He survived, but the illness caused lasting damage that later led to significant dental issues and multiple surgeries.
In November 2025, I noticed a small bump on his face that looked like a tiny pimple. After multiple veterinary visits, antibiotics and a dermatologist referral, surgery was ultimately recommended. What had grown into a large mass was diagnosed after surgery as a grade 3 soft tissue sarcoma, a diagnosis that tore my world apart.
Between appointments, surgery, diagnostics, follow up care and now radiation, the cost of Alexander’s treatment is already well over $10,000.
Alexander is only six years old and he is my soul dog. He has been with me through some of the hardest and most meaningful moments of my life and I cannot imagine my world without him.
I am doing everything I can to give him the best chance at a comfortable and healthy life. Asking for help is not easy, but any amount of support truly helps.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us in any way you can.
