Help My Sweet Nicky Fight Congestive Heart Failure

Hi, my name is Lauren Heltzel, and I'm fundraising for my beloved dog, Nicky. I find it difficult asking for help but it is truly needed. He’s not just a pet — he’s my family, my emotional support, and my little shadow. Sadly, Nicky has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure at the young age of 8, and the road ahead is going to be long and expensive.

In May, Nicky had an ER visit that cost $3,197. Just recently, we had another emergency visit totaling $3,796. These visits were critical in keeping him stable and adjusting his medication and care plan, but the costs have quickly become unmanageable.

Nicky now needs:

Daily heart medications

Ongoing vet visits and monitoring

Emergency care access

A special heart-healthy diet

Despite it all, Nicky is still full of love. He cuddles up every chance he gets, looks at me with those big eyes, and tries so hard to keep going. I want to give him every chance to live comfortably and happily for as long as he can — but I can’t do it without help.
