If you know me, you know how much I loved Jax. He wasn’t just my dog — he was my child, my first love, my shadow. Losing him nine months ago left a space in my heart that will never truly heal. Now, my sweet Chloe needs me more than ever. Saturday night, I came home to find her coughing, gagging, and struggling to breathe. By Sunday, she had stopped eating, lost her balance, and looked at me in a way that broke my heart — as if asking me for help. I rushed her to the ER, where they told me her oxygen was low and she was in heart failure. She will need to stay hospitalized until she’s stable and then continue lifelong treatment to keep her comfortable.

This year has already been so heavy, and this news feels like another blow. Chloe is getting the care she needs, but the cost is overwhelming — I’ve already incurred over $8,000 since yesterday alone. I am not someone who finds it easy to ask for help, but my friends and family remind me often to let myself be loved. So I am here, humbly, asking for kindness.
