Help My Sweet Boy Lou Walk Again
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I never thought I'd be writing this, but here we are — and I need your help. My sweet boy Lou, a joyful, tail-wagging, ten-year-old bundle of love, recently suffered a terrible injury. After jumping off the bed like he's done a hundred times before, Lou landed wrong and immediately couldn't put any weight on his leg. Our hearts broke as we watched him try, and fail, to stand without pain.
Lou has been my loyal companion through thick and thin — a source of unconditional love, laughter, and comfort. He's the kind of dog who greets every person like an old friend, who makes people smile even on their worst days, and who still acts like a playful puppy despite his age.
We've recently relocated to a very small town for seasonal work. While it's peaceful here, access to veterinary care is extremely limited and far away — and the cost of X-rays, potential surgery, and recovery care is overwhelming. As much as it pains me to admit it, we simply can't afford what he needs right now.
The vets believe Lou may need surgery to repair the damage, and without treatment, he could lose use of his leg permanently. This is not how he deserves to live — Lou still has so much life and love to give. He deserves to chase butterflies, roll in the grass, and go on walks like he always has.
To make matters worse — and this is the part that truly breaks me — we just lost Lou's brother, Tank, only one month ago to epilepsy. It was sudden, traumatic, and we're still grieving that loss. Lou hasn't been the same since. Now this. It's more than we are able to handle.
I'm asking for your help — whether it's $5 or $50, every single donation goes toward getting Lou the urgent care he needs to heal and get back on his paws. Your kindness will go directly toward:
* Veterinary exam and consultation
* X-rays and imaging
* Potential surgery
* Pain medication and post-operative care
* Travel to and from the veterinary clinic
Lou isn't just a pet — he's family. He's a light in this world, and anyone who's ever met him knows the pure joy he brings. If you can help us give him a fighting chance, it would mean the world.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you. For reading, for sharing, for donating, for caring.
With love,
Lexi & Lou
