I have the opportunity of teaching 9th grade at Mira Monte High School, and a former student of mine lost his dad in a tragic accident Tuesday night. This student is way more than just a student that was in my class...he quickly became a part of my family and will be forever. His dad was his only blood-related family member that lived in the US, as the rest of his family lives in El Salvador.
