Help my Steve stand again.

Hi my name is Cathy Lithgow and I am Steve Lithgows wife. You can Google his name and read his very sad story to what happened. A workaholic who was kind, bighearted, would give the shirt off his back and is loved deeply. He was beaten in the head with a wrecking bar by someone who was a friend. Someone who was apparently down on his luck so Steve hired him on a large wood floor refinishing job to help him out. Dec 1 2011 this person took everything from Steve. He was in Coma then a Neurosurgeon ignored fluid building on Steve's brain for 2 months I fought to get him back from a hospital he was transferred to, that had no Neuro to the hospital he should never have left. 2014 2 weeks before trial the attempted murderer was set free, charge dropped due to an apparent change in theory of one blood spatter evidence. No justice for Steve. I cannot make more than 200 dollars a month as he is on ODSP. 2023 a civil suit by zoom took place to cover costs of therapy that is needed due to drs negligence. 14 months at trial end, judge finally gives answer, and again no justice for Steve, she sides with the dr.

Steve was almost walking with a walker, and was off feed tube for 4 years thanks to SVS clinic in Mississauga. Then again due to our medical systems neglect after a year the feed tube is back in due to weight loss. Steve has started back to square one.

However with all the treatments outside of our system in Ontario he can regain what he got back and more. I fundraise, do odd jobs, have sold everything of value of mine getting my grade 12 at 63 years old so I can get better employment. I worked 30 years for a dr and stopped the same day as Steve. I do everything I can learn for him. However right now I may have to sell our home which is set up for him.

Please help if you can. Steves recovery will get therapies out there that our system tries to hide.
