Hi I am Megan and this is for my stepdad David Doe. On behalf of him and my mother I am asking for a little help. 10 days ago while being fitted for a tux for his daughter Samantha's upcoming wedding my stepdad collapsed and was rushed to the emergency room. It turned out that he had a brain aneurysm that ruptured. Since that time he has been in an induced coma on a ventilator while the amazing doctors at Providence Park hospital put coils in to stop the bleeding on his brain. He has been making some solid improvements but due to the damage to the brain from the bleed we do not know the extent of the damage on his body. We won't know for some time how bad and if he will be able to return to work any time soon if at all. Unfortunately even if you are in a coma bills do not stop occurring and we are trying to prepare for that. As well as the amount of time spent in the ICU insurance only goes so far. My mom has been by his bedside every single day since he was rushed by ambulance and has not left his side for the entire visiting time allotted or to let someone else see him for a moment, one visitor at a time, thanks covid. My stepdad has always and will always be the first person to help anyone with anything without asking for anything in return. I couldn't even begin to tell you all he has done for me. If it is possible at all to help in any way whether its a few bucks or just good thoughts i know how hard it is for everyone right now but I also know my stepdad would help anyone he cares about even if he didn't have it to give. My mom didn't want to bother anyone but for Dave I think we have to. Please continue to keep him in his your thoughts and prayers as it has helped this far he is a strong stubborn fighter and he deserves the world. Thank you from the bottom of all of our hearts. The recovery could take anywhere from 6 months to a year depending on how much damage was done. We don't know if he will need a ramp instead of stairs at home or anything like that. I just know if it were anyone else Dave would be there in a heartbeat no questions asked. thank you again.
