Vanessa and Sophie are contacting you on behalf of my stepdad, mom, and brother.

Recently, my stepdad's employer suddenly walked away from his company, leaving all the employees — including my stepdad — unpaid for over three months and without jobs.

Despite years of hard work and dedication, my dad and family are now facing a challenging moment. They've been using their savings to cover rent, food, and basic needs while he searches for new work and waits for compensation that may never come. But with rising inflation and the high cost of living, those savings have run out faster than expected.

This is not something our family ever imagined having to do. We've always found ways to make ends meet, but this time, the circumstances are beyond our control. We are humbly asking for your help — no matter how small — to keep a roof over my parents' heads and help them stay afloat while they rebuild.

I know times are tough for everyone, and any support would mean the world to my family right now. Every little bit helps and brings them one step closer to stability.

Vanessa y Sophie les escriben en nombre de mi padrastro, mi mamá y mi hermano.

Hace poco, el empleador de mi padrastro cerró su empresa de manera repentina, dejando a todos los empleados — incluido él — sin salario durante más de tres meses y sin trabajo.

A pesar de años de esfuerzo y dedicación, mi familia está atravesando un momento muy difícil. Han estado usando sus ahorros para cubrir el arriendo, la comida y las necesidades básicas, mientras mi padrastro busca un nuevo empleo y espera una compensación que quizá nunca llegue. Pero con la inflación y el alto costo de vida, esos ahorros se agotaron mucho más rápido de lo esperado.

Nunca imaginamos tener que pedir ayuda de esta forma. Siempre hemos encontrado la manera de salir adelante, pero esta vez las circunstancias están fuera de nuestro control. Por eso, acudimos con humildad a ustedes, pidiendo cualquier tipo de apoyo — por pequeño que sea — para que mis padres puedan mantener un techo sobre sus cabezas y estabilizarse mientras se recuperan.

Sabemos que los tiempos son difíciles para todos, y por eso cualquier ayuda, palabra o gesto solidario significa el mundo para nosotros. Cada granito de arena los acerca un poco más a la tranquilidad y la estabilidad.
