My name is Rhonda, and I am raising funds for myself and my adopted sons during an incredibly difficult time. My youngest son has faced more challenges in his young life than most people do in a lifetime. He is autistic, and when he was just five years old, he was lost in the woods for 12 hours before being found and taken to the hospital. After that, he was turned over to CPS, then to another family member, and eventually came to live with me.

In March, our world changed again when he was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. We were sent to St. Jude in Memphis, where doctors told us he needed a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible. His brother stepped up and, miraculously, was a perfect match. The transplant took place on May 5th, and I am so grateful to say that my son is doing better now. However, I have been at St. Jude with him since March, only able to go home twice. During this time, I lost my job and have used all my savings to keep us going.

We are asking for help to cover our basic needs—bills, rent, groceries, and to make Christmas special for my sons.
