My son is currently in his second year at Dallas Baptist University, and I am so proud of how far he has come. As a single mother raising both of my children, I have always encouraged them to pursue their dreams, and my son has truly embraced his education. He is a talented young man who, at the beginning of adulthood, faced some challenges. Focusing on his studies has helped him stay on the right path, and he is now thriving as a college student with a GPA above 3.0.

Unfortunately, recent changes in Department of Education policies have stopped many loans that support minority students. This has left us with a significant financial burden. My son currently has an outstanding tuition balance that must be paid before he can register for the spring semester, and we expect another similar balance for the fall. As much as I want to support him, I simply cannot cover these costs on my own.

This fundraiser is my last resort to keep my son in school and help him become the first in our family to graduate from college. I know he is capable of great things, and I want to give him every opportunity to succeed. Your support will help pay off his tuition balances and allow him to continue his education.
