I’ve been a rider since I was 18, and I passed that passion on to my son. After buying his first bike, he had a small accident that shook him up, but it only pushed him to rebuild, learn, and follow his passion. He discovered a love for rebuilding bikes and told me he wanted to become a motorcycle mechanic. We used our savings to enroll him at UTI in Orlando, where he moved for the first time, worked hard, purchased his first Harley, and was thriving. Then everything changed in an instant. On Tuesday evening, we received a call—he was T-boned at a busy intersection and rushed into surgery. He survived, but he lost his right foot. Even through the pain, the first thing he said was, “Dad, they took my foot, but I still got my shifting foot, so I can still ride.” His spirit is unbreakable. He refuses to quit school or come home. He wants to stay in Florida, finish what he started, and rebuild his life. But with medical bills, the cost of a prosthetic, rehab, and the inability to work, we simply can’t support everything alone. We are asking for help for the first time. Every donation will go directly to his rent, food, medical needs, and recovery so he can learn to walk again and keep chasing his dream. He’s determined to finish school and pay it forward as a certified motorcycle tech.
