On Sunday night, my son was walking home from work when a car pulled up beside him. Three people with guns jumped out, robbed him for his book bag, and hit him in the face, shattering his cheek. As he tried to get up, one of them shot him in the shoulder before driving away. In the chaos, his glasses were broken, and a kind stranger helped him until emergency services arrived. The police had to cut off his hoodie and shirt, and they took his pants and shoes for evidence, leaving him with nothing.

This traumatic event has left my son with serious injuries and without many of his belongings. He now faces a long recovery, including multiple hospital visits and the challenge of not being able to work until his arm heals. The money raised will go toward replacing his clothing, shoes, and glasses, covering his medical expenses, and helping him get by while he is unable to earn an income.
