Hi, my name is Sue, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my son, Phillip.

On what should have been a normal day, Phillip went out for a ride — something he’s always loved. His motorcycle has always been his peace, his escape, and his way to clear his mind. But that peaceful ride turned into a nightmare when an uninsured driver suddenly pulled out in front of him attempting to make a illegal left turn through a barrier without warning leaving no room for escape.

The impact was devastating.

Phillip suffered broken ribs, severe soft tissue damage to both legs, painful road rash, a concussion, and short-term memory loss. When first responders arrived, they feared his right lung had collapsed. He was conscious but struggling to breathe and in terrible pain, asking only for his fiance.

He spent days in the emergency trauma center . His recovery will take months — maybe longer. Every day is a battle through pain, home physical therapy, and emotional exhaustion just to regain strength and mobility.

To make matters even harder, the driver who caused the crash had insurance, however the claim was denied because he was working delivering pizza during the incident. That means all the medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and lost wages, cost of total loss motorcycle, are falling directly on Phillip, when he should only be focused on getting better.

Phillip has always been a hardworking, kind-hearted man who helps others without ever asking for anything in return. He’s the one who shows up when someone needs a hand, fixes a car without being asked twice, and always puts others before himself. Now, he’s the one who needs help.
