My son received a hand-me-down guitar and amp for Christmas, and it brought him so much joy. He was excited to have a way to express himself, especially as we’re going through a divorce and he’s been struggling with his feelings. Playing guitar quickly became his outlet—a way to channel his emotions and find some peace during a tough time.
Unfortunately, just a few days after Christmas, the amp started acting up. We took it to a repair shop, but they told us it would cost just as much as a new one to fix it. It was heartbreaking to see his excitement fade, especially when music has become such an important part of his life. He loves learning new songs and dreams of playing like the Deftones, but without a working amp, it’s hard for him to keep practicing and growing.
We’re hoping to gather support to get him a new amp so he can continue to use music as a positive outlet. Any help would mean the world to us and would help my son keep moving forward, finding hope and healing through his music.
