My son has been detained in immigration customs prison in Otay Mesa, California for four months after requesting political asylum at the border. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family. As a single mother with a minor daughter, I am doing everything I can to support my son, but the challenges are overwhelming. The legal process is complex and expensive, and I simply cannot afford to pay for a lawyer on my own.

Over the past four months, I have reached out to many organizations for help, but unfortunately, I have only received refusals. My hope now rests with the kindness and generosity of people like you.
