My son has faced unimaginable challenges over the past year. He lives with ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and impulse control issues, which have made it difficult for him to maintain stability. After being denied disability benefits, he found himself without a place to call home. Because of behaviors associated with his disabilities, I have not been able to safely have him in my household, and he has been homeless for the past year.

In March, my son was brutally assaulted by a group of teenagers who targeted him as part of an online trend of attacking the homeless. They filmed the attack, leaving him with a broken nose and a fractured cheekbone. Since the assault, the suspects have been charged with homicide in connection to another tragic incident, highlighting the urgent need for safety and support for vulnerable individuals like my son. This traumatic event has only added to the struggles he already faces every day. Despite everything, I am determined to help him find safety and a fresh start.

I am raising funds to help secure a full year of rent for my son while we fight for his disability benefits, as well as provide him with furniture, clothing, legal fees for an attorney, and other essentials he may need.
