My son has always been a bright light in my life, but recently he was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia. As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to watch him struggle with pain and uncertainty, and even more difficult knowing that I can’t afford the medical expenses that come with his treatment. Every day brings new challenges, from hospital visits to medications and ongoing care, and the costs are simply more than I can manage on my own.
