After years of searching, Tyler still hasn’t been able to get the care he needs in Oregon—but he’s finally found hope with a specialist out of state.

Our son Tyler is a 38-year-old father of two incredible boys, and for nearly 20 years, he has been battling Crohn’s disease.

What most people don’t see is the daily fight behind the scenes—the pain, exhaustion, setbacks, and the strength it takes just to keep going. Tyler has always pushed through, putting his boys first no matter what he’s facing.

Over the years, he has endured severe complications, including complex Crohn’s fistulizing disease and ongoing medical challenges that continue to worsen. He has tried countless treatments, including medications that caused difficult side effects, and has worked hard to manage his condition through nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle changes.

We have never asked for help before. As a family, we have done everything we can—using our savings, credit cards, and resources to support him through this journey.

And now we have reached a point where we can’t do this alone anymore.

The Oregon medical system has failed in his care options, we are now facing the difficult but hopeful decision to travel to California for specialized care and receive a complicated surgery that could significantly improve his quality of life.

Because we are committed to getting him the care he needs, we already have purchased plane tickets and have a hotel reserved for his first visit on April 21. For the first time in a long time, we feel a sense of real hope—but also urgency to make sure we can continue this path and fully support him through treatment and recovery.

At the same time, Tyler is doing everything he can to remain strong for his boys—but the physical toll of this disease, combined with the inability to work consistently, has created an overwhelming financial burden.

We are asking for help to:

◇ Cover ongoing travel and lodging for out-of-state treatment

◇ Pay for surgery, aftercare, and medical expenses not covered by insurance

◇ Keep stability in his home so his boys have a safe place during his recovery

◇ Relieve some of the mental and financial stress so Tyler can focus on healing
