My son is an amateur boxer who just won the Florida State Junior Olympics Championship in the 143-pound weight class. His hard work and dedication have paid off, and now he’s qualified to fight for the National Junior Olympics Championship in Wichita, Kansas, from June 20th to June 28th. He trains out of Lou’s Community Boxing Gym in DeLand, FL—a Christian-based gym led by Coach Lou, who is also a pastor. Boxing is more than just a sport for my son; it’s his passion and what he wants to pursue as a career.
This next step is a huge opportunity for him to compete against the best young boxers in the country. However, getting to Wichita comes with significant expenses. I’m raising funds to cover transportation for my son and his coach, accommodation (hotel or Airbnb), and a rental car to get to and from the event venue. With rising gas prices, inflation, and expensive airline tickets, these costs could become a burden that’s unaffordable for our family. I want to do everything I can to help my son chase his dream while he’s young, so he never has to look back with regret.
Any support you can give will help my son compete on the national stage and continue his journey in boxing. Thank you for believing in him and helping us make this opportunity possible.
