“Help My Son Become a Neurosurgeon”

Hi, my name is Norgelis, and I’m a proud mom of two amazing kids. I’m starting this GoFundMe to support my 17-year-old son, Dylan, as he takes an important step toward his dream: becoming a neurosurgeon.

Dylan’s passion for medicine began at just 15, after we lost someone close to us due to illness. That experience changed him. It lit a fire in him — not just to understand the human brain, but to one day help others survive and heal. Since then, he’s worked hard, studying pre-med while also being the kindest, most driven young man I know.

This summer, Dylan has the opportunity to attend a pre-med academy week on a college campus — an amazing program that will bring him one step closer to his dream. But as a single mom raising two kids on my own, without family nearby, the cost is more than I can manage on my own.

I work hard every day to support my children, and Dylan supports me right back. He helps at home — cooking, cleaning, even babysitting his younger sister so I can go to work. He never complains. He just keeps going, with a heart full of hope and a dream he’s determined to reach.
