My sister, her partner, and their 9-month-old daughter Augusta have just experienced a devastating fire in their Harlem apartment, a place they've called home for the past 11 years. The fire has left their apartment so damaged that they are unable to return, and almost everything they own has been lost. This tragedy has turned their lives upside down, and they are now facing the overwhelming task of starting over from scratch.

With Augusta being so young, the loss is especially hard. All of her baby essentials, many of which were lovingly gifted from their registry, need to be replaced. They urgently need formula, diapers, and other necessities to care for her. While they do have renters insurance, it will not be enough to cover all of their immediate needs, especially as they work to find a new place to live and replace the countless items lost in the fire.
