Lena’s sister and her family lost everything when a tornado tore through their home. In a matter of moments, their lives were turned upside down as the storm destroyed their belongings and left them without a place to call home. Through it all, their three dogs, four indoor cats, and one outdoor cat miraculously survived. Sadly, one of the cats was injured and now needs urgent veterinary care. Their young son has been trying to process everything in his own way—talking about how the tornado damaged his toys, their house, and even the cars. Hearing him make sense of such a scary and sudden loss has been heartbreaking, and it’s a reminder of just how much this has impacted their entire family.

Right now, they are facing the overwhelming challenge of starting over. They need help covering vet bills for their injured cat, replacing essential items, putting food on the table, and finding temporary housing while they rebuild. Every donation, no matter the size, will help them take the next step toward recovery and healing.
