My sister and her partner are hardworking parents to eight wonderful children, ranging in age from 2 to 18. Just today, their lives were turned upside down when a tornado tore through their home in Three Rivers, MI. They barely made it to the basement with their children before the storm hit, and after the tornado passed, they were left with nothing but each other. With nowhere else to go, my sister, her partner, and their kids had to sit in their car until they could find a hotel room for shelter. It was a terrifying and uncertain experience for all of them, especially the little ones.

Both my sister and her partner have always been incredibly strong, facing every challenge life has thrown their way without ever asking for help. Over the past 18 years, they have worked tirelessly to provide for their family and build a safe, loving home. Now, with everything lost in an instant, they are facing one of the hardest moments of their lives.
