Help My Sister’s Family Rebuild After Losing Everything

Hi everyone,

I’m creating this fundraiser for my sister and her family, who have just experienced a devastating tragedy.

Their family home in Taree is now 3/4 underwater due to the recent floods. In just hours, they lost everything. Their newly renovated home, everything they’ve worked so hard for is gone. Furniture, clothing, appliances, school supplies, sentimental items, their children’s toys and all the small comforts of home… destroyed. The heartbreak is unimaginable.

They have two young girls under the age of 11 who have lost not only their belongings but their safe space, their sense of normal. On top of the physical loss, their beloved chickens didn’t survive the flood and their two cats are still missing. The emotional toll is heavy.

Both parents are on low incomes and simply do not have the means to rebuild their lives alone. They’re starting from absolute scratch, no home, no belongings, no certainty of what comes next.

We’re asking for help to get them back on their feet. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward helping them replace basic essentials, find temporary housing, and begin the long process of rebuilding their lives and home.
