Help My Sister’s Family Rebuild After Fire

Donation protected
If you know my sister, you know she’s the kind of person who is always smiling and always asking, “What can I do to help?” whenever someone else is going through a difficult time. She has spent her life showing up for others without hesitation. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. My sister, her husband, his mother and their children lost their home in a devastating fire. My brother-in-law built that house with his own hands, and while a house can be rebuilt, so many irreplaceable memories and keepsakes are gone forever.

As much as I wish I could fix this for them, I can’t. What I can do is ask for help from the people who know and love them. Donations will help cover temporary housing, clothing, and essentials as they begin the process of rebuilding their lives. Every donation, no matter the size, will help them begin the long process of rebuilding their lives. If you’re not in a position to give, sharing this post would mean just as much.

Chelle, my sister. You probably have seen her beautiful and warm smile, and she's probably made you a cake, sewn you some clothes, or given you a pep in your step when you needed it the most. You probably know her husband, Chris, my brother-in-law. He's probably fixed something for you in your house, given you advice, told you a funny story, or maybe given you some of the wonderful food he cooks. You probably know his mother and my sister's mother-in-law, Rosy (or Granny, as we call her). She probably made you laugh with some of her stories, gave you fishing advice, or helped you find a niche collectible you were looking for. You probably know my niece, Kirsten. Maybe she helped you learn how to be a better softball pitcher, a woman in STEM, or gave you advice on how to be a sunflower, always turning towards the sun. You probably know my nephew, Eric. Maybe he volunteered to help you around your house, helped to tutor you with his big brain, or gave you some of the most interesting sports trivia you've ever heard. You probably know my niece, Gretchen. Maybe she warmed your day with a smile, helped you with your softball swing, and made you a better person for knowing her.

Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. It truly means more than words can express.
