My sister-in-law and her husband Vic have been living in Maine under extremely difficult circumstances. Since November, they have been without running water, making daily life a constant struggle. About 7-8 months ago, Vic began suffering from swollen legs and was seen by doctors several times. Just three days ago, he was prescribed a strong antibiotic for a suspected infection after his blood pressure medication was changed.

Today, after my sister-in-law went to pick up his medication, she returned to find that Vic had tragically passed away. She is now alone, grieving, and facing very poor living conditions. The loss has left her devastated and without the support she desperately needs.

I am raising funds to help her return to New Hampshire, cover cremation and burial costs for Vic, and support her as she tries to get back on her feet. Any support is deeply appreciated at this time—we’re hoping to give her a glimmer of hope when her world has gone dark.
