My sister, Yasmin, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, February 3rd. She is 27 weeks pregnant with her second child when she started bleeding. She has PCOS, and it was difficult for her to get pregnant. At 25 weeks, she was told that she has placenta previa which puts her and her unborn daughter at high risk of complications, namely, hemorrhage and death.
She must spend the next 7-8 weeks in the hospital on bedrest until she reaches 34 weeks because another bleed or preterm labor would be so dangerous if it happened outside of the hospital. She is unable to work or take care of her family, including her four year old daughter Peyton, and has no disability or paid leave benefits.
I am trying to help my sister and her family get through this difficult time. I hope to lessen the burden of the exorbitant medical expenses and the substantial loss of income.
My goal is to fundraise on her behalf so she can focus on what’s essential: staying well and delivering a healthy baby.
With my sincere thanks and utmost appreciation, I hope you will consider making a donation.
